The Workshop

Your intimate partnership is perhaps the greatest gift you’ll ever have in this life.
What are you doing to intentionally nourish, support, and enliven it on a daily basis?

When you first came together, no doubt the connecting was strong and easy. Your partner was fascinating and alluring, the most amazing human being you’d ever encountered.

Likely you were both on fire with the passion of your co-mingling sexual energy. It carried you along almost effortlessly.

Yet as time passed, that initial flood of feel-good chemistry subsided and the stuff of life moved back into the foreground, eclipsing that once easy connection.

It’s not that you don’t love each other deeply. You do. It’s just that sustaining deep intimate connection in an ongoing relationship, in the midst of complex lives, requires something different.

First, an intentional rekindling. Then, knowing how to skillfully keep the flames burning, day in and day out, no matter what else is going on. And finally, discovering that there are unimagined new depths of intimacy to plumb with your beloved.

Join us and learn how to:

  • Reconnect with your partner, again and again
  • Open/Enhance the flow of mutual appreciation
  • Grow your capacity for deep listening and open-hearted expression
  • Cultivate a safe space for expressing feelings and needs, especially the “difficult” ones
  • Fall in love all over again
  • Discover a deeper level of intimate connection than you may ever have known was possible

This weekend intensive introduces you to the art of incorporating Council into your intimate relationship,

With our guidance and the support of a small group of kindred couples, it includes the foundational teaching you need, plenty of time to practice privately with your partner, plus facilitated reflection and conversation to deepen your learning.

You’ll leave our time together with the skill and the confidence to begin weaving this beautiful practice into your daily lives together as a couple.

Tuition: $300 per couple

The workshop is limited to ten couples. Registration deadline is November 1st (assuming there’s still space). Our previous Circle of Two workshops have all filled, so if you want to do this, we suggest you enroll early.

If you’d like to participate but can’t make these dates, let us know and we’ll start a waiting list for a possible next workshop.

We stepped onto the path of sacred marriage 22 years ago, after having met in a dream. Pretty quickly we had to learn the art of intimate communication in order to first, survive our differences, and second, continually deepen into the love and devotion at the heart of our marriage.

Like rough jewels being polished by the grace and grit of Council, we’ve each become finer versions of ourselves through this practice, while transforming our union into something truly extraordinary.

Inspired by what it has done for us, some years ago we started teaching the art and practice of Council to other couples. Now we’d like to share it with you!
